Duncan Cavanah

Mr. Cavanah is a lifelong Christian County resident, having attended Pembroke Elementary School and graduated from Hopkinsville High School. He is a graduate of Transylvania University of Kentucky (B.A., 1999) and the University of Kentucky College of Law (J.D., 2002). He has been a member of the Kentucky Bar Association since 2002. Mr. Cavanah has been engaged in private practice in Hopkinsville, Kentucky since 2002.

His practice areas include Domestic Relations (including divorce, custody and adoption), Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Wills, Banking and General Civil Litigation. Mr. Cavanah also works as both an Assistant County Attorney and Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Mr. Cavanah’s wife, Sarah, is an English teach at University Heights Academy. Duncan and Sarah have two children, Rachel and Jack, and attend First United Methodist Church. Mr. Cavanah is active in the community, presently serving on the YMCA Board, the Hopkinsville Youth Equality Commission and the Christian County Workforce Education Development Board.

Dan Kemp

MR. Kemp is a former Mayor of Hopkinsville, KY, having served two terms from January, 2007 through December, 2014. He is an honor graduate of Murray State University and the University Kentucky College of Law. He was admitted to the Bar in 1970 and has practiced law in Hopkinsville after completing 4 years active duty in the United States Army in January, 1975. Kemp served in Germany and Fort Campbell, KY as an officer in the Judge Advocate General Corps. His practice focuses on business, real estate and utilities.

Mr. Kemp has served on the Board of Governors of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Board of Directors of Lawyer's Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky, the Executive Board of the Kentucky League of Cities, the Board of Trustees of Jennie Stuart Medical Center and the Boards of many charitable and civic organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Regents of Murray State University.
